About the Event
Susan Sanders and Dev Shabad Kaur are excited to present this relaxing somatic-based workshop to support those who regularly experience(d) high stress, vicarious trauma and burnout. The workshop is also open to anyone who identifies with the benefits, and wants to learn natural and effective self-care techniques.
Would you like to experience decreased stress, less worry/anxiety, less muscle/neck/back pain, more energy and clarity, increased flexibility & circulation, and decreased symptoms of vicarious trauma?
These are just a few of the benefits of TRE® (TensionTrauma/ Releasing Exercises) and Gong Bath Meditation (a type of Sound Therapy).
TRE® Trauma & Tension Release Exercises is an innovative series of exercises that assist the body in releasing deep muscular patterns of
stress, tension and trauma by activating our bodies natural reset/reboot method. Once learned, the techniques can be used independently to experience ongoing benefits.

Gong Bath Meditation is a specific type of Sound Therapy, which is based on the understanding that all forms of matter – including our body’s cells – vibrate at different frequencies. Factors such as stress, depression and disease cause cells and organs within our bodies to vibrate at non-optimal frequencies. The therapeutic sounds speak to each unique individual, meeting them wherever they are on their life journey. During the gong meditation, all levels of your Being - physical, energetic, emotional, mental and spiritual - will benefit from the deep, healing resonance of the gong.

TRE® is a safe and effective stress release technique for most people. The TRE process should not be used as a substitute for trauma recovery procedures of a medical or psychological nature. Individuals who have physical or psychological/psychiatric conditions that require strict regulation, individuals with fragile psychological defenses, a complex history of trauma or restricting physical or medical limitations MUST consult their medical practitioner prior to performing these exercises. In addition, while there is no research evidence yet to suggest either safety or risk of deliberately invoking neurogenic tremors during pregnancy, the global TRE policy is that we are unable to recommend women perform TRE while they are pregnant. As medical guidelines recommend pregnant women continue whatever exercise they have been doing prior to becoming pregnant learning TRE before pregnancy is recommended should you wish to continue it during pregnancy.
